Board of Directors Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Idaho Business for the Outdoors’ Board of Directors deliberately seeks to ensure a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible board environment. We strive to create a place where all directors and participants of any gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, education or background are valued and respected. We aspire to create a sense of belonging because we believe belonging exists at the intersection of diversity, equity and inclusion. We believe this intersection is where the full potential of each director is engaged, where innovation thrives, and where views, beliefs and values are integrated. We are committed to building a practice around social justice and accessibility that is continuously reflective, self-critical, and institutionalized, and built upon the foundation of respect and empathy within a safe environment.
Executive Director
Heather Eastman, Executive Director
In 2006, Heather moved to Idaho after earning her bachelor's degree from UCLA. Since then she's worked with a variety of local companies to create fun and engaging digital content. She is an accomplished writer and content editor, having produced everything from educational videos to ebooks to podcasts, and is as comfortable on stage speaking to large crowds as she is behind the keyboard. When she's not traveling the world or exploring the Idaho trails on horseback, she loves to be home with her pets watching movies.
