The Idaho Environmental Forum is an informal, nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational association whose sole mission is to promote serious, cordial, and productive discourse on a broad range of environmental policies affecting Idaho.
The BLM Resource Advisory Council offers opportunities for citizens from all backgrounds and interests to have a voice in the management of public lands and its resources. Each RAC consists of 12 to 15 members from diverse interests in local communities, including ranchers, environmental groups, tribes, state and local government officials, academics and other public land users.
Boise Parks and Recreation maintains more than 90 parks, 200+ miles of trails, 25 miles of the Boise River Greenbelt pathway, and hundreds of acres of open space. They offer affordable classes and camps. From art to drama, dance classes to fitness programs, nature tours or special events, there’s something for everyone. They serve hundreds of low-income kids at school based community centers and offer an Adaptive Recreation program that serves children and adults with disabilities.
The Boise River means a lot to our community and we aspire to keep it a beautiful recreational paradise, but we also want to recognize what an important place it is for Idaho’s famed wildlife. Along with Golden Eagle Audubon, the City of Boise, and other partners, IBO is excited to be a part of the Boise River ReWild Project. By December 2023, our goal is to restore 50+ acres of important habitat along the Boise River.
Created in 1988-1989, IRTI is an enduring coalition of state and federal agencies and non-profit organizations working together to provide Idaho citizens and visitors with statewide recreation opportunities. We work to provide our citizens and visitors with public information, services, and connections to Idaho’s best sites and activities.
The University of Idaho’s James A. and Louise McClure Center for Public Policy Research has become one of Idaho's trusted and preeminent public policy research entities. A champion for state water rights and a nationally recognized leader in energy and natural resource policy, Senator McClure earned the respect of his colleagues for his thoughtful pursuit and promotion of bipartisan collaboration leading to the enactment and execution of sound public policy.
All of us, from seasoned outdoor enthusiasts, to families heading out to their local park for the first time, can turn to community and simple reminders about how to safely & responsibly recreate outdoors while caring for one another.Recreate Responsibly Idaho guidelines came together to offer a starting point for getting outside to keep yourself and others safe while working to maintain access to our beloved natural spaces.
United Payette is a coalition of diverse citizens and organizations collaborating with government and private partners to identify and secure paths to permanently conserve the Payette endowment lands for the public and the health of the ecosystem for generations to come.
The High Divide Collaborative is an effective partnership of public land managers, state wildlife agencies, landowners, local community leaders, scientists, and conservation groups working together to conserve and restore lands of importance for local communities and to protect ecological integrity at the landscape scale.
The State Outdoor Business Alliance Network strives to strengthen America’s outdoor recreation economy in ways that leverage the interlinked potential of commerce, infrastructure, and participation. SOBAN focuses on what can best be accomplished together through collaboration on policy and advocacy, research and branding, leadership and partnerships, and sector development. Outdoor business alliances share knowledge, opportunities, and best practices, working alongside national industry partners and state offices of outdoor recreation.
Tested in Idaho aims to highlight Idaho’s outdoor-recreation companies that trial and iterate their products in the great Idaho outdoors—from the compelling tales of passion and grit behind their businesses to the stories of creativity and innovation that gets their products to adventurous consumers all over the world.
The Idaho Rangeland Resources Commission is a state agency whose primary mission is to sustain and enhance Idaho’s rangelands and ranching heritage through public education.
The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation is a state-level government agency of Idaho that manages state parks throughout Idaho as well as the registration programs for boats, snowmobiles and other off-highway vehicles.
