Sophie Sestero

 

Sophie brings more than a decade of diverse communications experience into the state of Idaho. In July 2023 she launched her own strategic communications company—Lunation Communications.

Previously she served as the Marketing & Communications Director at the Treasure Valley Family YMCA and spent nearly a decade with Fahlgren Mortine—a public relations and marketing agency in Downtown Boise. While there she directed integrated with communication strategies, public affairs, paid marketing, community engagement, partnership development, earned media and branding.

Sophie is a proud third-generation Idahoan who is active in the community. In addition to her role on the Idaho Business for the Outdoors board of directors, she serves the Downtown Boise Association board of directors, Visit Boise board of directors, and board of advisors for Telaya Wine Co. She has spent time volunteering with local organizations including the Idaho Statesman Editorial Board, CATCH advisory board, the Boise Metro Chamber, Boise Young Professionals, and Friends of Zoo Boise boards. She has been recognized as the Idaho Young Professional of the year, Idaho Business Review Accomplished Under 40 and Idaho Women of the Year.

You can find Sophie enjoying Idaho’s ample recreation activities, including: hiking, camping, snowshoeing, soaking in natural hot springs or simply getting her hands dirty in the garden.
